Heroes for Prophecies and Factions
They really help A LOT in most of the PVE encounters, I think Prophecies and Factions should also have heroes. Some of the important characters can be used as hero instead of henchman. Such as Aiden, Cynn, Nika, Danika and Silverwing.
Prophecies:
W: Devona
R:Aidan
E:Cynn
N:Eve
The crew can join after reach LA or Jungle.
Mo:Lina(Mhelno is too important for Factions)
M:Some Forgotten
Factions:
W:Talon Silverwing(Joins after Warning the Tengu)
Luxon
R: Daeman
E:Argo
M:Seaguard Hala
Kurzick
N:Brutus or Sheena
Mo: Danika
M:Erys Vasburg
After Sunjiang, before you beat Shiro, you have to make a choice, depend on which faction you pick first.
A:Nika(Before or After Tahnnakai Temple)
Rt:Professor Gai (Can be the first hero you get)

I don't know. Although I wouldn't mind having those characters, especially Nika and Danika for heroes there might quite be some story changing to do. Although it would be cool to get them after beating their home campaigns. In another point of view I can see why proph and factions shouldn't have heroes. Maybe it spoils a player too fast? I take prophecies and factions as steps of working with henchmen and real ppl til they hit nightfall to then learn how to work with heroes (aka taking steps.). However, if anet can make something workout why not?
/signed - if there can be sense made into doing so.

Believe it or not, Prophecies and Factions did actually have heroes.......Olias and Zenmai, respectively. At the time when NF was released, the quests to gain these heroes were obtained from Lions Arch and Kaineng Centre, thus making them tied to those campaigns. A few weeks after NF release, however, the quests were 'updated' to be obtained from the docks at Kamadan.
Maybe WoC will 'reward' us with an assassin or mesmer hero when it's completed?

Nika's part is easy, as for Danika, she could join us after the that mission.
Some of the quests are really painful without heroes like the Titan quests after you beat Prophecies. With a good MM most of the Factions mission will be a lot easier.

I'd /sign for this, if only because I like having different heroes around, if I get bored with the ones I usually have.

I'm kind of neutral about this.
I'd love to see 6 heroes in Prophecies and 8 in Factions along the 13 in Nightfall, the 10 in Eye of the North and the bonus/cross-campaign ones, and enough 'extra' ones so there's at least 4 or 5 of each, not including mercenaries, but then, we already have plenty of heroes, including GW:Beyond ones and Mercenaries, and any new ones we may or may not get.
So if no more get added, I won't complain, and if more get added, I would happily get them.

all it would do is give you more heroes you'll never use, unless they only make mesmeres and necros, and then it would just be retarded. if you really want more heroes buy the merc pack

Oh why they heck not, for those who only have prophesies and or Factions it might be fun.
Usually when a game system is updated the whole game system gets updated, gw has its own little old style backwaters which to new players must seem strange esp if they began with Nightfall than later visit the other games.
Sure the game is perfectly playable without them though easier when there were a lot of other excellent players around to help out.
These days when its admitted that many are playing the game just with AI help at least for a lot of the time, more AI help would be useful.
It would mean you wouldn't have to jump out of the storyline just to get heroes then go back and carry on with your journey.

im on neutral on this one. I do agree that it is unfair, on the other hand every campaign gives unique things you only get there (beside hero's, you also get skills and certain weapons). Thats one of the motivations to buy it and cause Anet is a commercial company allows them to make great games.
Keep in mind that, compared to other games, GuildWars already is fairly cheap (no monthly fees, almost everything accesable when you buy it, etc).
So if you wanna use heroes, either buy nightfall and/or EotN or get the mercenary pack.

No. Proph and factions are already easy enough as they are...
Also, for factions MM: Su [Grave Henchman] says hi... It's not a good MM, but at least it's a MM...
Also, powercreep is already so strong that it makes everything a piss, all you need it 50 gold and you can get any build in the game with tomes..
And last but not least: if you want heroes early on in the games it's also very, very easy. Get to LA or Kaineng, go to eotn, get yourself 3 shiny lvl 20 heroes in no time and get on with the game...
Unless there can be a very logical story tied to it, I don't see why the hell we would need more heroes... (except for extra mesmer and/or assassin, though I don't give a damn about assassins)

It wouldn't make people so eager to buy the Trilogy, or better yet, the complete game. Not a good idea for ANet, not a good idea for the playerbase either.

You have 26 already with the option to change Razah to whatever you wish him to be.
With the cost of trilogy/complete collection at such a low price no need to add anymore.

imo its always fun having new heroes to play with
then most of the multiplayer side is gone as i've seen
just 3 heroes each could do something nice
i also thought of their spots: 1 in maguuma jungle, 1 in southern shiverpeaks and 1 in desert
as for factions, 1 could be on shing jea island, 1 in luxon territory, and 1 in kurzick of course
maybe basic heroes like monk, ele and ranger
again: just for fun, which is very important in this game

Then show us how did you do the Titan quests without heroes or other players?
You have to buy EotN to get those heroes, even Olias and Zemai require Nightfall.

Someone will use them, especially the ones without Nightfall/EotN, that's all.

If people don't buy Nightfall and EotN they got 0 hero.
Some people will like them and let them see the light of the day, that's enough already.

By reading the title, I kinda understood this was to suggest adding the mercenary heroes to Old Ascalon / Shing Jea... which I would definitely approve (NF chars get them in freaking Kamadan... level 3...
So yeah...
